blackAlisyn Camerota is an anchor and national correspondent based in New York for the FOX News Channel. At FNC, Alisyn has covered most major news stories. She anchored during much of the beginning of the Iraq War, including the moment when U.S. troops entered Baghdad and seized Saddam Hussein's palace. She was live on the air at the moment the Space Shuttle Columbia exploded and spearheaded FNC's coverage for the next two hours. Similarly when news broke that a Rhode Island Nightclub had gone up in flames with hundreds trapped inside, Alisyn anchored the network's breaking news coverage live for four consecutive hours. Alisyn also anchored the live breaking story of the London subway/bus bombings.  Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Alisyn reported from Ground Zero and the Pentagon. Internationally, Alisyn covered the 11-day ceremonial funeral of Britain's Queen Mum from London as well as the U.S. Cardinals meeting at the Vatican in Rome.

Alisyn cultivated a specialty in crime reporting on the program "America's Most Wanted," where she was responsible for jailhouse interviews with murderers, serial rapists and child molesters. She received honors and awards from the FBI, US Marshals and state police agencies for her reporting which lead to the capture of 42 fugitives. She was known as the correspondent to extract the most surrenders and confessions from criminals.

Following "AMW," Alisyn became a correspondent and substitute host for NBC's daytime magazine show "REALlife, for which she traversed the country telling the compelling stories of real people. After dodging a speeding bullet, jumping off a Navy Ship and surviving the pecking of wild ostriches, she earned a reputation for truly diving into her stories.

Alisyn got her start in journalism under the tutelage of Ted Koppel. She worked for Koppel's production company Koppel Communications and helped produce his prime-time, award-winning specials called "The Koppel Reports." Alisyn attended the American University in Washington, D.C. on an academic scholarship and graduated cum laude with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Criminal Justice.
